V1 ESP on Arduino Mega is functional and allows all v1 mods
I have been discussing my project in another thread. However if you are anxious to start playing with ESP, you only need an Arduino Mega (not the Uno, but you can use the «android ADK» version which I would recommend because I will probably do something interesting with it).
